Conversations for mental well-being
Starting from the week of September 5, over 250 benches are placed all over The Netherlands to serve as conversation starters, to talk openly about mental well-being and suicidal thoughts. Talking about mental well-being and suicidal thoughts is still considered a taboo, while awareness and openness could be of great help to those who need it the most. I was honoured to work as an assistant editor to help build this important campaign.
As part of the campaign, Dutch celebrities were invited to share their experiences about mental well-being. These interviews show how you could involve the same benches for conversation. Stichting 113 provides a free training to further help conducting difficult conversations.
